Sulky Sticky Self-Adhesive Tear-Away Stabilizer Roll Reviews

Love this product - Sulky 12-Inch by 9-Yard Solvy Water Soluble Stabilizer Roll. Embroidered sweat shirts for my grandchildren for Christmas and it was wonderful. Just placed the sticky tear away on the bottom of the hoop (sticky side up) and pressed the shirt/jacket to it and went to town. What was so great was that I did not to have to place the facric in hoop which leaves the hoop print on the facric.

I haven't found a Sulky product yet that didn't do what it was supposed to. My only warning for this product is to keep in mind that this is a heavier weight stabilizer than what you may need. When I'm embroiderying something light-weight, I use Sulky's Solvy Water Soluble Stabilizer and spray it with 505 Spray and Fix. When I'm embroiderying something medium-weight, I use a medium-weight stabilizer and spray it with the 505. The advantage of the Sulky Sticky Self-Adhesive is that is provides a stronger hold on the fabric than what you may get with a spray fabric adhesive. P.S. With the Self-Adhesive, my needle got "gunked up" and I needed to clean my needle more often than I do with the spray on.

I only use this stabilizer. I stick it to the under side of my hoop. It makes a mess of my hoop that way, but does clean with alcohol. I was buying this at Joann Fabrics, but could not find it at two stores. I bought Pellon brand of the same and it was miserable! Barely stuck to hoop or fabric! I do a LOT of machine embroidery and this product never fails to perform.

Merchandise was as described and delivered promply from Amazon. This product is great for using on embroidery projects where hooping is not desirable. Keeps fabric in place for embroidering.
