These bobbins came in a tiny plastic bag. Generically packaged, no name on the packaging whatsoever. It is very clear that they are obviously OLD, USED and REPACKAGED. They are definitely NOT NEW. They have scratches all over them and appear YELLOWED AND MIS-SHAPEN as well. I would not order these if you want new, unused, Singer bobbins, because I can GUARANTEE you these are NOT SINGER bobbins.
I did order this style (below) and they came in a SINGER package, NEW and were definitely NOT curved in appearance, yellowed and scratched. If you want NEW REAL SINGER bobbins, buy these - more expensive yes, but in the long run, you may save your sewing machine from a breakdown.
Finally, I checked Amazon and ordered the bobbins myself. The Singer Style 15J Sewing Machine Bobbins came faster than promised and work fine on my Singer Confidence Stylist sewing machine. The price was great and much less than buying them from the store where I purchased my sewing machine. The added surprise was that there was no shipping and handling charge added to the order which made it even more of a bonus! The seller was "World Weidner - Machine Embroidery Supplies". I'm very impressed! Now, back to my sewing projects.

I have a Singer sewing machine that uses 15J bobbins. However, I bought these from a seller here on Amazon and what arrived was a knock off brand, not Singer's brand. They did not fit right in my machine. Real Singer brand bobbins 15J, I don't have a problem with these would not work properly and was loose fitting.

I ordered a small batch of these to see if they were good bobbins and if the company gave good service. Well, yes and yes! I'm going to order more.
These work great in the expanded top-load Apollo style plastic bobbin case in almost all of the modern Singers, including the 74XX series (I've got 3) that DON'T explicitly say what bobbin size to use.
They also work fine in my Brother C6000i's and a couple Janome's and all regular class 15 bobbin cases, like older Singers, Kenmores and most of the Japanese and Italian re-brands that I use. I suspect that they are identical to the Brother SA156 and the "new" Janome bobbins. They look the same to the naked eye, but I haven't measured them with a micrometer, yet.
The edges are free of flash and bights and they've got holes for a thread tail so you don't have to start the wind yourself. The curve that makes them a 15J is properly and smoothly sloped, not stepped. The axle hole fits my machine winder and my standalone winder just like the ones that came with the machines. Importantly, the outer diameter is exactly right, unlike the stepped 15J that Singer itself distributed a few years ago in the red, blue & yellow 12 packs; it being a bit undersized. It seems to me that stitching over about 300 spm with a bouncy machine and a loose bobbin leads to some backlash and occasional loops/skips.

Who doesn't need extra bobbins for sewing projects. This is an. Excellent product that is made well. I can only use metal bobbins with my machine. These fit perfectly.

I have an old Kenmore 1516 sewing machine from at least 50 year ago, and not all bobbins will fit on the bobbin winder.
