Have been looking for this blanket for a long time and finally found it on amazon.com. Thanks for bringing it back.
Reviews By Sarah Blakeslee : Date March 9, 2011
Okay first thing I need to mention is that there are a couple errors in the description for this item. I suspected these were errors before purchasing the scissors, and was glad to see I was right. There is nothing gold plated on the handle of the scissors - they look just like the picture (shiny silver). Also, the metal tin they come in is silver, not gold as mentioned in the description. Since I do not like gold colored plating, I was happy with this description mistake.
My mom had a pair of Ginghers growing up and when I recently got into sewing I looked around to see if technology had evolved since then. I found that Gingher scissors are still number one and so I purchased a pair of Gingher G-7 7-Inch Knife-Edge Dressmaker's Shears and these 4" classic embroidery scissors. When I received my embroidery shears they were well packaged in a tiny tin. My first thought was "oh no, these are so small they won't really be that useful!" However, I was seriously wrong. While the scissors are fairly small (the 4" refers to the length of the entire scissors, not just the blade), they are very sharp and have a fine tip which can even rip out threads to get things started for the seam ripper. They will easily cut through cord for piping and, while I wouldn't want to cut out an entire project with them, they can handle trimming several layers of fabric around an edge or corner. They have a precision that my dressmaker shears lack. One of the best features for me is that (assuming you use your right hand) they are ergonomically correct no matter which side you happen to pick them up from. The leather sheath is very useful and well crafted. You can feel the quality when you are holding the scissors, and can rest assured because Gingher backs up their products for life.
In all, I use these scissors way more than I envisioned I would and am very pleased with the purchase. There is something about sewing with quality tools which makes the experience more enjoyable! Knife Edge Thread Nippers are always near. When I do pick them up, they never disappoint.
These have a very nice weight and are very sharp.

Love this thread. It works up so well in my embroidery projects and matches the color chart that came with my machine.
I have found so many embroidery and sewing supplies at Amazon, it keeps me from running around everywhere trying to find them. And the prices are better than I can find in the shops, delivered to my door!
It's like Christmas every time I open a package.

I love this set. Almost every color on the machine stored patterns are in this set. I just had to add a few other colors to complete it! The thread is a good quality and does not bind up the machine. I would recommend this set to anyone looking to have great array of colors. It is also most economical to buy these spools in a set-much less money...

Just, this day, fired up my new Brother PE-770. Tried several other threads with mediocre success. Loaded this Poly Star and all went very, very well. I'd buy this thread just for the split spools. Trying to keep the thread on most spools is a very trying experience for me as I have rough hands. I have owned one of these for over 10 years. Have been very pleased with the edge it puts on my sewing and utility scissors. Recently I carefully pushed/pulled the little sharpening dowel out with a pair of needle-nose pliers (Just gently wiggle it through the end and then grasp it and pull free). Cleaned it up with a little scrubbing using a powdered cleanser til it was white again. It restored the sharpening ability beautifully! They make great gifts for the beginning sewer or crafter or homeowner you might know.

I bought this little gadget and then didn't open the package for months. It just didn't look like it could possibly make much impact. It did a great job sharpening my scissors. It saved my old utility scissors from the trash can. They are as good as new. And I no longer have "junk" scissors for use on plastic and "good" scissors for use on paper only! This little thing can make them all like new. It may not perform like the more expensive sharpeners, but it does a great job and the price is right.

This is a GREAT edger for Fiskar scissors. This product will work for everyone, however, not for every pair of scissors. Some scissors may be too far gone, and, I suspect, that's why there are some poor reviews.
Basically, there are two steps to truly sharpening a pair of scissors -- creating the edge, and truing the edge. As you cut with a sharp blade (scissors, or knife) the edge becomes microscopically bent over into a curl. So, eventually your need to "true" the edge, or make it flat and straight again. That's what this tool does. Similarly, using a sharpening steel does this for a knife.
The edge can be trued many, many times, before you actually need to grind an entirely new edge. But eventually, if the edge is too degraded (nicks, or just too blunt), the only solution is to grind an entirely new edge.

I've had this sharpener for years now, mostly to sharpen my sewing shears, but I have used them for regular paper-cutting, kitchen and nail scissors and they do a great job. It can be a little hard to get the scissors lined up right, but that might just be me.

This is good stuff. I'm doing an applique quilt and bonding the pieces on top of the pressing sheet to keep them united, then moving them to the quilt blocks. Works like a charm and nothing sticks to the teflon sheet. It's a good size, too, big enough but not too big.

This Non Stick Pressing Sheet was ordered for a specific purpose - for use with my fusible appliqué projects. When placed on top of delicate appliqué pieces, it protects the fabrics from both the direct heat of the iron & also from shifting out of place while setting the fusible product. It is also large enough to cover a substantial area & is transparent, allowing minor adjustments to be made as needed. Additionally, the sheet prevents any fusible glue from touching my iron, preventing a huge clean-up job.
Overall, this item fulfills my needs completely, allowing me to focus on creating my art projects with less frustration & mess. I highly recommend its use for anyone who works with appliqué or fusible products.

I bought eq7 and was told by the manufacturer that this was a fantastic add on and that the blocks were not in eq. I bought the CD and perviewed the blocks. I must say that every block that is not a duplicate of the ones in eq are unusable and foundation patterns cannot be printed of them. For me this was a waste of money and I will be selling my copy on eBay.

Very easy to use format. I have been working on a reproduction quilt, however, working from only pictures and templates was difficult and cumbersome. Using BlockBase has made all the difference. I can customize my blocks and choosing the best method- paper-peicing or rotary cutting or templates- is a breeze. A great reference and so many options! Just what I was looking for.

This machine is not stitching the designs correctly and I have several years of sewing experience. I also own a Janome sewing machine and overlock so I understand their products. This 200e will add stitches or skip stitches thereby rendering your designs useless. I even tried the pre-loaded Janome designs and had the same issues.
Reviews By TajmaJ : Date December 25, 2011
I have owned this machine a little over a year and I am very pleased with it. The stitches are beautiful. The machine has accepted many different brands of thread;however, I set the tension before sewing on original due to different weight of thread. My only regret is that I did not get the 300e (the embroidery surface is larger ) .
Also as far as my machineI have not had any Problems with it skipping or adding stitching.

I went to my local quilt shop for my birthday/Christmas present, thinking I was coming home with a Janome 11000 Special Edition SEWING - QUILTING - EMBROIDERY machine (all in one .. that's important) for about $1600 ... long, sad story short, my facts were very mixed up. My shop helped me figure out that I could get Janome's 6300 SEWING machine AND Janome's 200e EMBROIDERY machine for a 'little bit more' and satisfy those wants. So I did that. Love the MC6300P ... the 200e, not so much.
As the title states ... I am ready to move up. The 200e, for the PRICE, is waaaay too limiting.

I spent quite a few hours researching different models & consulting w/a quilting & sewing goddess of a friend about which machine would best suit my needs. My budget allowed for a decent selection, but I didn't want a machine that was smarter than me. This does everything I want, has a bigger hoop than the Brother I was originally looking at (which she-rightly so-said I'd prefer) & is very user-friendly. I watched the enclosed instruction video & worked along w/the machine: when it taught threading, I threaded; when it taught preloaded design selection, I clicked too. The only thing I couldn't figure out was how to get my designs from USB to the machine (there's a lengthy post on Janome's help site about it). Once I figured that out & downloaded the software he suggested, I was set. I've now made 4 or 5 things & my only issues have been user error (hoop not on tight, excess thread not clipped). I've even found that my machine isn't a thread snob & will work as well w/the all-purpose store brand thread as it will w/the name brand embroidery thread.
I have two complaints, which I know I can work around w/time & experience: it's hard to work on thick fabric (I ended up pulling out seams on vinyl/canvas a diaper bag I was embroidering because I couldn't keep the hoop attached) & I wish I had an unlimited design area (I know I can rehoop).
I've purchased designs from several websites now in different formats & have been able to convert them to use w/the machine w/perfect results, save one, & that was user error (I didn't take the time to put facing on the back of a sweatshirt & the thread bunched, material shifted & needle broke).
I absolutely love my machine! It threads just like my White sewing machine (except the needle threader on my Janome works), it's simple to use, & it makes beautiful things while I sit back & watch. It was well worth the money spent, even though it was more than the machine I'd originally picked, and I came in under my budget.

I've had two pairs of these scissors since 2008 and they are the best I have ever used for cutting fabric when doing appliques. They are also good for cutting jump threads on embroidery projects. I bought two more so I can have the two I have now sharpened and have these two to use in the meantime. I'm lost without them. It's hard to find the 6 inch double curved. The 4 inch just doesn't work as well for me.

Wonderful idea, doesn't work even on glass. The first machine I tried to stick it on had sort of a texture to it and the suction let go very quickly. I have other machines that have slick surfaces. I cleaned all the surfaces, the pin place suction cup with alcohol to remove all grease and fingerprints, the suction cup released itself and dropped onto the table in less than one minute. I even tried to stick it to a mirror and to window glass - no luck.

I was really looking forward to having my scissors right on my machine. The magnet is really strong and holds the scissors wonderfully. But when I tried to stick it to my sewing machine it feel off within 10 seconds. I tried it in different spots on the machine to see if it was user error, but it will not stick to anywhere on my machine. I don't know if it's just my machine. I will keep it to help pick up stray pins because there is nothing wrong with the magnet at all. Love the concept but wish it would work how it is supposed to.

I just came back from my local quilt shop with my second one of these and was going to post about this marvelous tool on my quilters forum. I can't believe the 4 previous reviews. My experience is totally opposite. I did have one problem getting it to stick and then I added one drop of olive oil and wiped it off and it stuck very well from then on. The first one stuck with just a drop of water. You really have to get in there and push until you see the suction take hold. But I love these things. I have one on each side of my sewing machine (Janome) and put pins on the left and my small scissors on the right. As I sew along and take the pins out I put them up and out of the way on the magnet and don't have to think about my pin cushion getting in the way of the quilt.

I just purchased a Brother SE-400 computarized sewing and embroidery machine from Ken's Sewing and Vacuum Center via Amazon.com. It arrived within three days. So far, I am VERY pleased with this machine.
Loving embroidery, I decided to purchase the Brother SE-400, as it had all the features I wanted and it was within my price range. Prior to my purchase, I read all the web reviews I could find on the SE-350, as there are barely any reviews yet for the SE-400 (new on the market). Noteworthy is the fact that the SE-350 and the SE-400 are the exact same machines except for the additional computer connectivity that the SE-400 possesses. The SE-400 has a port for computer connectivity and comes with a USB cable which helps connect directly the sewing machine to your computer. This is an advantage over the SE-350 as this feature allows you to upload embroidery designs directly from the web(or your computer) to your machine, and update your machine's operational software from Brother whenever updates occur.
The SE-400 is compact enough, comes with a handle at the top, which makes it truly portable. Even though it is relatively lightweight (compared to my good 40-year old "all metal" Kenmore), the SE-400 feels sturdy while sewing and it is a very easy machine to operate. The manuals that came with the machine are very well written and the diagrams easy to follow. It took me only a few minutes to figure out how this machine operates. I love the self threading feature of the machine, as well as the built-in thread cutter, bobbin sensors, and drop in lower bobbin.
I was also delighted to find out that the embroidery part of the machine has the following built in features: You can reflect an embroidery design; and rotate the design 1 degree, 10 degrees, or 90 degrees at a time.
I appreciated all the enclosed accessories that came with my SE-400. I wished though that it came with an additional large embroidery hoop too, besides the medium hoop. I guess I will have to buy a large hoop sooner or later, if I am to become more involved with machine embroidery.
The SE-400 is a good choice for a home sewer. I give it a 5-star.
One more note. If you are looking for a hard carrying case for this machine, I highly recommend the Brother 5300 universal hard carrying case. It is the perfect fit for it. I agree with the rave reviews for the se-350 now se-400.... for sewing, it's a dream of an upgrade from my battered but still working brother xr-40 bought from costco @ 10-ish years ago.
for embroidery it's limited as the max hoop size is not very large, and an extra purchase, but fun to play with. I give it 4 stars... it's a great intermediate sewing and beginner embroidery machine.
i purchased this machine (shipped promptly from J&R via Amazon) last month after a lot of research. what i found was.... the brother se-350 was pretty much identical to the brother project runway 6700 machine.

I bought this at a local big box store because I was worried I wouldn't use it, wouldn't like it, or wouldn't be able to figure it out. Let me tell you about me, so you understand why those were my concerns...
I'm about as crafty as a sock, my only sewing experience was sewing little bags with yarn closures as a kid, and I have NO PATIENCE. I don't like manuals too much, which doesn't help.
For whatever reason, I got it in my head that I wanted to try this. Not sure why... but anyway, I'm a gadget junkie, so maybe that was part of it.

I upgraded from a smaller embroidery hoop machine to this one. I have had my hands full trying to learn about needles, material and different stabilizers. There is a learning curve to using this machine for embroidery. But that hard work is really paying off because this machine is able to do some fantastic things.
As a sewing machine, it is large and sturdy and I have no problems with it walking off the table from vibrations. It is able to sew through heavy materials with no difficulty and it is easy to change tensions, stitch patterns and adjust stitch length and width. I really enjoy being able to adjust the needle position to just the right place I want the want the seam. This is really handy for piecing quilt blocks since you can get the perfect quarter inch seam with ease.
The various stitch patterns make sewing and decorating garments and accessories fun and beautiful. Sleeves are easy too because of the free arm.

Third revised review for this machine:
It's finally doing what I bought it do to. It has its quirks and preferences and is "finicky" - but when you work through them all it stiches out well. If you're willing to do a lot of learning and quite a bit of "finessing" then this is a great machine for the price, especially the larger size embroidery field. Is it my "dream" machine? No, but it fits the bill nicely for my purposes. Just beware it'll take some getting used to.

I was hesitant to purchase this through Amazon due to the one other review which wasn't positive but I am so glad that I did!! I was going to purchase the Futura XL400 from a local store but realized that it didnt come with the Autopunch which I really wanted. The Autopunch software itself is almost $200 which put this machine in my range. After reading review after review I took a deep breath and hit the checkout button. The machine arrived in 2 days! I have had a great time working with it and couldn't be happier with my decision. It is easy to use and the only issue I have had is sometimes when I am sending an image to the machine the laptop says that it lost connection with the machine. I actually think it is my usb port on my laptop but it only takes a minute to shut off the machine and restart it. I have been impressed with the quality of the images and I can take pretty much anything off the internet and make it into a pattern. Very, very happy.

I am now waiting on my 3rd machine. There is a communication and software problem with this machine and many of the singer machines to hit amazon in the last several months.
The software is unstable and singer knows all about it.
I've sent error reports to singer spent hours on the phone with singer. loaded software on three seperate computers, Singer finally said there is something wrong with machine and they would repair it?? It's only a week old! Two machines now with exact same problems.
Can't wait to see what's going to happen with the 3rd. Amazon is amazing!!! Thank God I bought it here. Free shipping on all three machines. They sounded a bit angry with singer on our last communication and ASSURRED me I'd get a brand new machine, not factory rebuilt.
Last machine had scratches and was obviously not new.
Amazon needs to drop singer and I think they know it.
I'll be back to update after I get he next one in a couple days.

This is one of the best sewing notions I've seen! I use these for every sewing project. I made an iPad case and these made attaching the binding amazingly easy. I use these now instead of pins on almost everything. They are so easy to attach and remove and don't distort the fabric in any way. I bought the set of 50 and am so glad I did. I almost bought the 10 pack just to test them out first but am so glad I didn't. I would have immediately gone back and purchased the 50 pack. I may purchase a 2nd 50 pack for bigger projects.

These little babies work really well. They perform exactly as they say they will. No more fussing with pins and thick edges. They hold without distorting. Get the 50 pack so you can use all you want. I used about 18 just going around a pot holder. When you get the corner folded exactly the way you want it ...... pop a clip on it. Sweet.
I've been using them with the serger, too.

These are wonderful little clips--small and hold very firmly. I've now used them to hold binding on a quilt and to organize various size strips for sewing into blocks. They're a great notion to have handy in your sewing box.
Reviews By Annette L. Taylor : Date February 27, 2012
These clips are great! They do not distort or warp the fabric as pins do; they can hold several layers of fabric and material, easy to use! I used them while making a fleece vest - perfect: holding 4 layers of stubborn fleece together as if it's nothing. Such an improvement. And the measure markings are perfect for binding and other tricky seams - wherever the end of the clip is on one side, that's where it is on the other side; no more hit and miss when you stitch in the ditch.
Reviews By Tony Hewitt : Date March 5, 2010
From the box, it was a little unclear how these are constructed. I was fearing that they were simply small triangular pieces of tape. But they are indeed small "tape" pockets (or sleeves) that do not stick to your photos.
They appear to stick very well to paper and are very easy to use. I used the built-in "applicator" and affixed them to all four corners of the photo then simply aligned my photo to the paper I wanted to attach it to. The Photo Corners have enough friction to keep them from falling off as you are aligning them. I was very happy to find this product, and as the other reviewer mentioned, they are much less distracting than the old black ones (which is what I was originally looking for).

After all, stamps are little pictures. I place one on opposite corners of the stamp and lower it into place on pages I make with computer and printer. WordPerfect works well. These corners are clear and acid free. All items used in stamp collecting need to be acid free archival quality. After the stamps are arranged and placed on the page, I slip them into Avery sheet protectors and then into quality binders. Stamps arranged and protected without paying big for stamp albums and expensive stamp mounts. I do not waste the photo corners on used stamps unless they are old and valuable. Currently the photo corners reviewed here are $3.00 at Wal*Mart.
Reviews By Jeri Ramone : Date June 10, 2013
I bought these corners for a photo scrapbook, but I'm finding them hard to use. They come in a convenient roll, which is good, but each corner is so small, I'm finding them too hard to handle. My hands are tiny, and I keep my nails short. I don't know how someone with large hands, or with long nails, could possibly manage these corners. They're also VERY sticky, so you will find yourself pretty frustrated trying to place them properly. It's difficult enough to work with clear corners, never mind the additional frustration you could have with this product. I also ordered the 3L self adhesive corners and do not have any problem handling those at all.

This is the perfect replacement blade for the silhouette cutting machine. I found a few things help have better results with this blade.
1. If you cut vinyl or paper and there are small pieces which clot around the blade carefully remove the debris to allow the blade to function properly.
2. Manually adjust the cutting speed - SLOW IT DOWN - for most projects, especially vinyl projects where there will be small pieces. It might take longer but I notice that the vinyl (and paper) tear less when the machine is not moving as quickly. I personally get better results this way.

The pins bend in use. Both purchases were made in China. The third time I requested pins made in the USA and the were the familiar product. Do not understand how this happens. I thought ths Singer name would mean quality.

The Singer Company did a good job marketing theses safety pins. It is exactly what I wanted. An assortment of sizes without buying each size seperately. Thanks Singer.

I love the weight, ease and grip of this design. The slightly curved blade prevents unnecessary nips to your fabric. The scissors give a sharp clean cut and are very easy to pick up from my sewing table. I actually have a few of these Havel scissors around that replaced other expensive all metal pairs. I have arthritis in my right hand and Havel scissors in general help me maintain easy precision cutting of threads and fabric.

I bought these to take on a trip to Hawaii for a quilt class. They were great scissors and I've used the heck out of them already. They were really nice and sharp and the cover for them is great. They are a good size and weight. Comfortable little scissors.

This scissor is very convenient to carry and very sharp. Especially it comes with safety cap.

This scissor is perfect for clipping threads. Love it, can't sew or machine embroider without it. Very sharp, love the curve and handy cover.

I nearly didn't purchase this cover because of the review that said that it was just a piece of cloth that lays over the board. When I received mine, I initially thought that Richard was right. But upon a quick examination I found two draw strings that enable you to tighten this cover to any size, and snug it up nicely. I'm very happy with the purchase. As a sewer, I appreciate the grid markings on it, and the fact that it is not the typical silver reflective ironing surface that is the worst thing for tailoring and garment shaping. The duck cloth will absorb the extra steam, rather than send it back up into the garment, keeping it wet. Overall, I'm happy with the product.

The was perfect, I have an old house with a built in ironing board, this cover was long enough. I had a hard time finding one.

So far, I love this cover. The dimensions look great and the fit was amazingly perfect. It seems well made and perfect for what I wanted to use it for. I am a quilter and I love it.

My ironing board is a "mini" rather than standard size; I made it fit with the aid of the drawstring. I really use the printed grid especially for sewing projects. The "Monk" in me likes to keep things plumb and square!! The fabric is sturdy. I didn't want something shiny, silvery and smelly. This is like Grandma's--only better.
