I dont know what that guy is talking about but my wife was using it with no problems. Very handy. Worked like a charm. Used it on camper canopy.

I brought this for doing the snaps on leather bracelets that I make. So glad I got this one as It's really easy to use, took me about 5 mins to figure out how It worked from the pictured instructions, and didn't take much pressure at all to secure the snap down. Also found It worked with other brands of 5/8 snaps i had.

This item does install snaps easily. However buyer beware. This work on heavy fabric only. On lighter weight fabric (cotton twill) it ripped large holes and the snaps were very loose. But make sure you buy the right size snaps. I thought it would be usable on multiple size Dritz brand snaps but it was not. Also the directions are a little unclear. I was not able to successfully install any of the snaps and ruined a perfectly good handbag. Still, it was easy to use and did not require a lot of strength.
